Impact of Agro-Meteorological Advisory Services in Wheat Crop of Kushinagar District in Uttar Pradesh

A study was conducted in April 2020 to assess the impact and usefulness of agrometeorological Advisory Services increasing production wheat crops under DAMU KVK, Kushinagar. The two villages were selected for this study, groups farmers selected, namely, a group adopting Advisories (50 farmers), regularly their operations (AAS Farmers), another not aware (Non AAS Farmers) during rabi season. data recorded from both farmer groups, particularly on crop expenditure incurred by land preparation harvest at every stage, growth yields observed regularly. assessment based feedback that indicated significant terms use Service farmers. who adopted advisory services real time basis obtained 28% higher net return compared Non-AAS benefited timely agricultural operations, rainfall forecasting, recommended doses fertilisers, efficient irrigation management, standard plant protection majors required base manner growing period, as advised biweekly bulletins. application fertilizers, accurate weather obtain better yield Agrometeorological (AAS) might be used helpful managing changing weather, resulting decreased input costs agriculture profitable Advisory.
